Dell, you hit it on the head. I try to tell the women in my Bible study and in my church that they are perfect in one respect. They believe that they will not ever quit sinning until Jesus comes again. They do not understand. They quote 1 John about people not admitting to sin and, thus, deceiving themselves. I tell them that I believe Jesus made my spirit perfect, and it is from that perspective that I live my life. God requires perfection, so He did something to make believers’ spirits perfect! I’ve heard you a few times in person. Thank you so much for your February 2016 sermon, “The Good News About Hell” too, sir. You are a brave man!
Dell, how can I convince women I meet that they do not have to keep on asking God to forgive them? So many people believe that they need to ask for forgiveness all the time. It’s so sad.
Hi Dee, Thanks for your question on forgiveness. I would encourage you to listen to last Sunday’s podcast, “The Finished Work of Christ”. I believe this will help. Blessings!
